Wales is a playground for adventure sports. Within a relatively small region, you can partake in mountaineering, rock climbing, world class mountain biking, ice climbing, white water rafting (Bala Lake has the National White Water Centre), hiking, trail running, orienteering, surfing (including an inland facility), Europe's longest zipwire, coasteering, sailing, SUP, gorging, power-boating, outdoor training (Plas-Y-Brenin is the National Mountain Sports Centre) - you name it, Wales has it. There's a reason local government has been pushing to get Wales recognised as the adventure centre of Europe, along lines quite similar to New Zealand's outdoor lifestyle.

North Wales is where the wild stuff happens, and Denbigh is ideally placed to access the fun. Less than an hour from Snowden, yet a similar time from Liverpool and Manchester, and located in the micro climate of the Clwyd Valley, flanked by Offa's Dyke. That means less rain, for those worried about a spot of damp.

Welsh Adventure Racing has been born to take you to these wild places, off the beaten track, and show you the gems of the Dragon Country.
